Generally I’m not a person that boasts but I do like to make it known when I have small successes. Constantly over the past few years I have been talking to people about the power of blogs and their ability to enable people with minimal web skills to have a web presence. As a web developer and Information Technology teacher, it’s easy for me to sort what is within the limits of the average computer user and what is going to be a long painful journey. About a year back I decided to start a blog about acoustic guitar playing, it was a test blog / website to get a feel of the global market. As of yesterday the Acoustic Guitarist blog has had over 50,000 visitors and my other one Acoustic Guitar Player is hot on its tails with about 41,000 visitors in even less time. If you are genuinely interested in web development and what is going on in the Tweed Valley region keep an eye on what I’m up to. Most people don’t even recognise the changes that have happened to the Google monster of late.
What has happened now is with the development of technology and a few simple strategies, it is now possible to have a presence in the global arena by following a few simple strategies. In my case it’s easy because I absolutely love what I do. And before long I’ll be telling you about my 100,000 visitors. Sounds pretty god huh?
And I must add, there is always plenty of live music worth seeing in the Tweed Valley region, people like Loren, Leigh James, Elizabeth Lord and James T are always out there playing beautiful music.
